Founder story
Verra started with a kitchen question.
Ridhima and Dhananjay were paying close attention to the food their family ate and realised that the water used to wash it had largely escaped the conversation.

What is Kitchen by Verra?
A tap-mounted water conditioning system for the kitchen, powered by Membrix™, the 6-stage water conditioning technology developed with MIT collaborators. It attaches to your kitchen tap and conditions the water before it touches the food you eat raw, the plates you serve on and the utensils you eat with.
What does it do?
It reduces specified contaminants in municipal tap water — sediment, chlorine and chloramines, selected heavy metals, bacteria, and scale-forming minerals — across six dedicated Membrix™ layers.
What does it not do?
It is not reverse osmosis. It does not use electricity, does not produce wastewater, and is not designed to strip every dissolved mineral from your water.
Which taps does it fit?
Most standard kitchen taps. The box includes a 6-size universal adapter kit plus a clamp adapter, so one of them will match your fitting without calling a plumber.
How do I install it?
Three steps: unscrew the aerator on your tap, fit the matching adapter from the box, then click Kitchen by Verra on hand-tight. It takes about five minutes.
Does it need electricity or waste water?
No. Membrix™ works on your tap's existing water pressure. There is no power supply and no drain line — nothing is wasted.
How do I know it works?
Every kit ships with home water test strips, so you can test your water before fitting Kitchen by Verra and again after, and see the difference yourself rather than take our word for it.
What testing stands behind it?
Each material inside Membrix™ is tested against a recognised standard for its specific job — for example NSF/ANSI 42 for the activated carbon and ASTM E2149-2020 for the antibacterial media. Full detail on every test, and what it does and doesn't cover, is on the Membrix™ Technology page.
What is Membrix™?
Membrix™ is a water conditioning platform, not a single filter. Six distinct layers each do one specific job — physical filtration, adsorption, redox chemistry and mineral conditioning — instead of asking one medium to do everything.
How long does the cartridge last?
The standard replacement cycle is every 6 months under typical household use. A subscription can have a fresh layer shipped to you automatically on that schedule.
How do I get replacement cartridges?
Order a replacement layer any time from the shop, or set up a 6-month subscription so a new one arrives automatically before the old one is due.
What does it cost, and what is the warranty?
Kitchen by Verra starts at ₹4,990 one-time, or ₹3,990 on a subscription with layers shipped every 6 months. Verra hardware carries a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.
What does verrafied mean?
Water you have checked, not water you have assumed. Every kit includes home test strips so you can see the difference for yourself.
